Connect API Key

Getting started with AltPilot is quick and easy. Here’s how it works: First, install the AltPilot plugin on your WordPress site. After activation, go to the AltPilot menu in your WordPress dashboard. If you already have an API key, you can paste it directly into the field and click Save Key. If not, click Create New — this will open the AltPilot Web App in a new tab.

1. In WordPress

Step 1

Install the AltPilot plugin on your WordPress site.
Step 2

Go to your WordPress dashboard and click on AltPilot in the menu.
Step 3

If you already have an API key, paste it into the input field and click Save Key.
Step 4

If you don’t have a key yet, click Create New — this will redirect you to the Web App.

2. In the Web App:

Step 1

Register for a free account (if you haven’t already).
Step 2

Click on Create Key.
Step 3

Give your key a name (e.g. "My Website", "Client A"). (Optional) Set a credit limit — ideal for agencies or limited access.
Step 4

Copy the generated key.
Step 5

Go back to your WordPress dashboard, paste the key into the plugin, and click Save Key. AltPilot is now connected and ready to use — no further setup required.
